Poco C85 5G Set to Launch on December 9 in India – Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Poco is gearing up to introduce its new 5G smartphone in India. The Poco C85 5G will officially launch on December 9. Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed key details about the device’s display. A newly released microsite confirms that the phone will come in three color options and will feature a slim design with a thickness of just 7.99mm.

Design and Display

The Poco C85 5G will feature a large 6.9-inch display. The company has announced that the phone will offer a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, HD+ resolution, and peak brightness of up to 810 nits. The screen carries multiple TUV certifications—such as Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian safety—to protect users’ eyes.

Additionally, the phone includes a 200% Super Volume Mode for enhanced outdoor audio performance. On the front, it will have a waterdrop-style notch housing the selfie camera.

Battery and Performance

The device will be equipped with a powerful 6000mAh battery. According to the company, the battery can deliver:

Over 29 hours of social media browsing.
More than 16 hours of Instagram Reels scrolling.
Over 106 hours of music playback.
More than 23 hours of WhatsApp messaging.

In terms of charging, the Poco C85 5G supports 33W fast charging and 10W wired reverse charging. The company claims the phone can charge from 1% to 50% in approximately 28 minutes.

Camera

For photography, the smartphone will feature a dual rear-camera setup, including a 50-megapixel AI-powered primary sensor.

Processor and Software

Reports suggest that the Poco C85 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset. The processor may include two Arm Cortex-A76 cores and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores, offering a peak clock speed of 2.20GHz. The smartphone is expected to run on Android 16.
