Vivo V60 Review – ZEISS-Tuned Camera, 90W Charging & Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 : Is This the Best Vivo Phone of 2025?

Photo : Vivo - Vivo V60

Just six months ago, we got the Vivo V50, and now its successor, the V60, has arrived. Compared to the V50, this is an upgrade in almost every aspect while still retaining Vivo’s signature DNA — design, display, and camera excellence remain core, but you can see the brand moving forward. Honestly, I sometimes feel Vivo makes some very smart decisions, and their growing market share proves it.

Today, we’re diving deep into the Vivo V60 — by the end of this review, you’ll know exactly how it performs, who should consider it, and maybe who shouldn’t.

Build & Ports

Vivo V60 “Engineered with ZEISS.” For the past few generations, Vivo has been bringing ZEISS tuning even to its V-series, and you can see it in the image quality. The phone feels great in hand — a typical Vivo trait.

At the bottom: SIM tray, microphone, USB-C port, another microphone, and speaker grille. On the right: power button and volume rocker. At the top: secondary speaker, noise-cancelling mic, and an IR blaster.

The SIM tray holds two nano-SIM cards — no eSIM support.

The phone itself is lightweight but not feather-light — around 193–195g. It comes in Auspicious Gold and Blue (both glass back) and a Grey variant with a polycarbonate back. The camera module is slightly protruding, but it looks classy.

Display & Multimedia

The Vivo V60 boasts a 6.77-inch FHD+ micro quad-curved display (not 1.5K), with HDR10+ support. Screen-to-body ratio is impressive, making it immersive for media consumption. You can enjoy HDR10+ content on Netflix and YouTube, and stereo speakers enhance the audio experience.

Performance

Previous V-series phones ran on Snapdragon 7 Gen 3; the V60 is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 — about 20–25% faster than its predecessor. Our unit scored ~983,000 on AnTuTu (higher variants can touch 1 million).

Variants:

  • 8GB+128GB
  • 8GB+256GB
  • 12GB+256GB
  • 16GB+512GB

Expected price: around ₹39,999 (₹37–38K after offers).

The company will start selling Vivo V60 smartphones on its official website, Flipkart, Amazon, and all partner retail stores August 19 onwards.

One drawback — LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage at this price feels outdated.

Thermals & Gaming

No throttling issues during heavy gaming — we played Genshin Impact for 30 minutes at ~45–46 FPS. Current max is 60FPS, but future updates might unlock 90/120FPS. GPU stability is excellent (98–99%).

Software

Runs Funtouch OS based on Android 15 (not Origin OS). Promises 4 years of major updates and 6 years of security patches.
Comes with some pre-installed apps, but they can be uninstalled.

AI features include:

  • Smart Call Assistant
  • AI caption translation for videos
  • Effective spam call blocking
  • Built-in call recording

Connectivity

  • Wi-Fi 6
  • Bluetooth 5.4
  • 11 5G bands
  • NFC
  • IR blaster
  • All major sensors, including in-display fingerprint and face unlock

IP68/69 certified — can handle being submerged up to 1.5 meters for 2 hours. Perfect for occasional underwater shots.

Cameras

Major upgrade from the V50:

  • 50MP primary sensor (ZEISS tuned)
  • 50MP ultra-wide
  • 50MP 3x telephoto
  • 50MP front camera

Portraits at 2x and 3x look stunning, with natural skin tones and precise edge detection — though sometimes they look “too perfect” due to processing. All sensors can shoot in 4K 30FPS (wish it had 4K 60FPS).

Camera modes include Night, Portrait, Micro Movie (with a new Wedding mode), Super Moon, Astro, Dual View, Pro Mode, Food Mode, and more. Telephoto supports up to 100x zoom (usable up to 10x).

Unique AI camera tools:

  • AI Four Seasons Portrait (see yourself in different seasonal moods)
  • AI Reflection Remover
  • AI Magic Move (reposition subjects)
  • AI Image Expander (extend background/skies)

Battery Life

9–10 hours of screen-on time, easily lasting 1.5 days for a normal user.

Verdict

The Vivo V60 is a stylish, camera-focused smartphone with strong multimedia and decent performance. It’s not the best pure performance/value phone in its price range (that title still goes to Vivo’s T-series), but for those who prioritize design, camera quality, and premium feel, it’s a solid pick.
