Why the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 Is the Best AMOLED Phone Under ₹15K

Lava Blaze AMOLED 2

Sleek, Light & Powerful – Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 Full Review

Lava is back with a new launch — the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2. This is the second-generation AMOLED phone in the Blaze series, priced around ₹13,000–₹13,500. And trust me, its display is easily one of the best you’ll find in this segment. But that’s not the only interesting thing about it — for this price range, it’s quite a promising device.

Design

At 7.55mm thickness and just 177g weight, it’s among the lightest phones. The curved edges of the front glass give it a premium feel. The new handset comes in two different colour options with a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset under the hood. The handset will be sold in Feather White and Midnight Black color options.

Ports & Buttons

  • Bottom: Speaker grille, USB Type-C port, microphone, SIM tray
  • Top: IR blaster, secondary microphone, additional speaker
  • Right: Volume rocker and power button
  • SIM tray: Hybrid slot (2 SIMs or 1 SIM + microSD)
  • The fingerprint scanner is under the display, and it also supports face unlock.

Display

Lava Blaze AMOLED 2

The highlight is without doubt its 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In this price bracket, AMOLED panels are rare — most phones stick to IPS LCD. Bezels are slim on all sides, and the peak brightness reaches 1000 nits (800 nits in HBM mode), ensuring good visibility indoors and outdoors.

Performance

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset, it comes in a single variant: 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage — specs you’d usually expect in much more expensive phones. The AnTuTu score hovers around 5,00,000, and it can comfortably handle BGMI and COD Mobile at medium settings (around 40FPS).

Battery & Charging

A 5000mAh battery paired with a 33W Type-C charger ensures decent endurance and quick top-ups.

Software

Runs on stock Android, free from bloatware, ads, or unwanted notifications. Lava includes a few useful tools like a height meter, compass, and alarm bell. Lava is giving Android 15 & 16 updates along with two years of security patches.

Extra Features

  • Dual-band Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth 5.2
  • IP64 rating (dust & splash resistance)
  • Widevine L1 support (Full HD streaming, but no HDR)
  • FM radio (no 3.5mm jack)
  • Decent haptic feedback

Cameras

Lava Blaze AMOLED 2

  • Rear: 50MP Sony IMX752 main sensor + 2MP depth sensor
  • Front: 8MP selfie camera : The camera performance is decent for casual photography. Modes include Night, Portrait, Pro, Panorama, Dual View, Slow Motion, and more. Video recording goes up to 1080p@60fps on the rear and 1080p@30fps on the front.

Verdict

The Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 isn’t trying to win you over with fancy cameras — its strengths lie in the display, lightweight design, multimedia experience, and high-speed LPDDR5 + UFS 3.1 storage. For around ₹13,500, it’s one of the most well-rounded offerings from Lava yet.
