Former Bollywood actress Rimi Sen, once a familiar face in early-2000s hits such as Hungama, Dhoom, Golmaal, and Priyadarshan’s Phir Hera Pheri, has begun a new professional journey far from the film sets of Mumbai. The actor has transitioned into the real estate sector in Dubai, where she is now working as a property agent.
Rimi, whose last on-screen appearance was in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Shagird (2011), recently spoke about her career shift in an interview with Buildcaps Real Estate LLC. She described Dubai as an inclusive and well-structured city that made her transition into a new industry smoother than expected.
Calling the UAE “extremely welcoming,” Rimi highlighted that expatriates make up nearly 95% of Dubai’s population, yet the city ensures a sense of belonging for everyone. According to her, the administration places strong emphasis on comfort, ease of living, and long-term stability for residents, regardless of nationality or background.
She also praised the professionalism of Dubai’s real estate ecosystem, noting that the sector operates within a clearly defined framework. Developers, agencies, and agents each have distinct roles, allowing the market to function with discipline and transparency. Rimi pointed out that real estate professionals in Dubai are treated with the same respect as financial consultants, a level of recognition she feels is often missing in India.
“The system here works because everyone follows the rules,” she said, adding that such structure creates trust and efficiency in a highly competitive market.
Addressing recent social media discussions around her appearance, Rimi clarified that she has not undergone cosmetic surgery. She explained that her refreshed look is the result of non-invasive treatments such as fillers, Botox, and PRP therapy, combined with consistent self-care and discipline.
Once a regular presence in mainstream Hindi cinema, Rimi Sen’s gradual disappearance from the big screen had largely kept her out of public attention. Her move into Dubai’s fast-paced real estate sector, however, has brought her back into the spotlight—this time as a professional navigating one of the world’s most dynamic property markets.
