Budget Powerhouse: Realme P4X 5G Launched With 144Hz Display and Big Battery

Today, Realme has launched another addition to its popular P4 series – the Realme P4X 5G In India. Priced under ₹15,000 at ₹13,499, this smartphone stands out with a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate, making it one of the few devices in its segment to offer such smooth visuals.

The phone also comes with UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring fast read and write speeds, and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset, delivering over 1 million points in benchmark tests. Additionally, the P4X boasts a massive 7000mAh battery with 45W SuperBUST charging and supports bypass charging for convenient battery management.

Design & Build Quality

The P4X 5G features a polished polycarbonate body with a matte finish branded as “Aerospace Design.” It measures 8.39mm in thickness and weighs 209 grams, mainly due to its large battery. The back design is reminiscent of Samsung’s S-series, giving it a premium and classic feel.

The device comes in three elegant colors – Silver, Pink, and Green – and carries an IP64 rating, offering splash resistance. The phone also includes a punch-hole display, stereo speakers, and a hybrid SIM slot that allows either dual SIMs or a SIM plus microSD card.

Display

The P4X sports a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is HDR-certified and offers up to 1000 nits of brightness, delivering a vivid visual experience both indoors and outdoors. With a 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, the display provides immersive visuals, smooth scrolling, and responsive touch functionality, even with wet hands.

Camera

The Realme P4X 5G features a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup and an 8MP front camera. The rear camera delivers decent colours, good detail, and HDR support, while the front camera produces satisfactory selfies with balanced skin tones.

Portrait mode works well under favourable lighting, and night mode allows low-light photography. The device supports 4K video recording at 30fps with AI stabilisation for the rear camera and 1080p at 30fps for selfies, along with several modes including Pro, High-Resolution, Street, Film, and Slow Motion.

Performance

Powered by the Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor, the P4X 5G achieves excellent benchmark scores and delivers smooth performance for gaming, supporting up to 90fps in BGMI on high settings. The device also includes a 5300mm² VC cooling system and an AI Gaming Coach to maintain performance during extended gaming sessions.

RAM options include 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, both with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, making it one of the few devices under ₹15,000 with such high-end specifications.

Battery and Charging

The 7000mAh battery ensures long-lasting usage, even during heavy gaming or media consumption. With 45W fast charging, the phone quickly powers up, and the bypass charging feature allows usage while charging without affecting battery health.

Software and Features

The Realme P4X 5G runs on Realme UI 6.0, based on Android 15, with two years of OS updates and three years of security updates. It includes AI features like Google Gemini, AI Motion Blur, AI Glare Remover, AI Scanner, and AI Recorder. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB 2.0, and triple-wave aggregation. NFC is not available.

Pricing and Availability

The P4X 5G is available starting at ₹13,499 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, with the 8GB + 256GB variant priced higher. The first sale begins on 10th December, available on Flipkart and Realme.com.

Coinciding with the P4X launch, Realme also introduced the Realme Watch 5, developed in collaboration with Optiemus Electronics Limited. The smartwatch features a large 1.97-inch AMOLED display, independent GPS, and HD calling. Priced at ₹4,499, it comes with a ₹500 first-sale offer and will also be available starting 10th December at noon.
