Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco has officially launched its latest C-series smartphone, the Poco C85 5G, in India. The device will be available for purchase exclusively through Flipkart. Customers can choose from three striking colors: Mystic Purple, Spring Green, and Power Black.
Display, Performance, and Battery
The Poco C85 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6000 series chipset, paired with a massive 6000mAh battery. According to the company, the battery can deliver over 106 hours of music playback. The phone also supports wired fast charging and wired reverse charging, making it a versatile device for long-lasting use.
Pricing and Availability in India
The Poco C85 5G comes in three configurations:
- 4GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹12,499
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹13,499
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹14,499
Under an introductory offer, the 4GB and 6GB variants are available at ₹11,999 and ₹12,999, respectively. While the phone is listed on Flipkart, all three variants currently show “Coming Soon”, and customers will soon be able to purchase them.
Software and Build
The smartphone runs HyperOS 2.2 based on Android 15 and is promised two Android upgrades along with four years of security updates. Its 6.9-inch flat HD+ display (720x1600 pixels) boasts:
- Adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz
- Peak brightness up to 810 nits
- TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification
- Flicker-free and Circadian-friendly display
The phone also carries an IP64 rating, protecting it from dust and minor splashes.
Camera and Security Features
The Poco C85 5G comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup:
- 50MP primary camera
- QVGA secondary camera
For selfies and video calls, it offers an 8MP front camera. Other sensors include ambient light, proximity, e-compass, and accelerometer. Security is enhanced with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
